Frost 82 is in a league of it's own with 50 other shows that are my favorites. The Etta James said it correctly a few weeks later, "the greatest American blues band around!" the dead were firing on all points from the oregon country fair shows, all through fall, to new years. They could hold a funky- funky sound stage so well, kind of low down, gritty, . The jamming was every song, in every song. One of the earliest cassettes I ever was gifted, there is a moment before a song that someone asks, "(are you) down for the harvest?"

----
Have you found any of these jams?

(scroll to the bottom you will see- jamming 2. )

I can still smell the eucalyptus trees - why (or maybe i should know why) did stanford stop having shows at the frost? it was great. also saw miles there and many, many golden afternoons with the dead

Just guessing, two possible, no three:

1 one angry show after a big bust in Marin the week before

2 Stanford student freakouts that required hospitalization

3 a big mess, and they're probably stressed about the Pow-Pow already too popular justin.tv/bighorse/b/259411643
